I can sum up why I’m doing this by answering a recent question a PGA golf pro and client asked me: “Sam, why are you so excited about putting on grips? I mean, I don’t mind putting on grips, but it’s not something I look forward to.”
My answer was because I love golf and putting people in the right grips gives me joy. The concept that I can be of service helping fellow golfers in this most fundamental part of the game is humbling and beyond fun.
I share this business and love for golf with my wife, Shannon. I’m a much better caddy than I am a golfer and she is a much better golfer than she is a caddy…so we make a pretty good team.
I spent 25 years building roads and bridges for what went from a small general contractor to the largest heavy civil contractor in the State of Oregon in just ten years. I enjoyed this work, am very proud of the company I worked for and what we accomplished but loved golf. So when I moved to Tucson, AZ 4 years ago, golf is what I gravitated towards. I’m now passionate about gripping Tucson. Did I mention that I love Tucson!

I share this business and love for golf with my wife. She got me into golf when we met 15 years ago and I’ve been obsessed ever since.
